• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

The Future Of Chasing

Lightning, now there's the answer

If we could just find a way to power a vehicle using all that energy in lightning.....we're always near a good CG. That would be endless power for us to chase.

This is were we need a good David Hoadley sketch of a car with a 10 foot lightning rod on top.

Even with gas prices up about 20 cents in the last 3 days (now $3.63 in east KS/$3.79 in McPherson/Independence/Iola according to kansasgasprices.com), it still can't stop me from chasing. Only thing that can stop me from chasing is if we are forced to fill up on gasoline on certain days of the week based on a license plate number or the such...

I may chase less as I have a set budget each year to chase, but more will be allocated next year.

You can call me a pessimist if you want to, but I don't see good things in our future. Not so much just for chasing, but the economy as a whole. As long as the dollar is in the tank, we will be facing a lot of issues, not just gas, but food prices as well. If your on any sort of limited budget, it's going to make chasing extremely difficult... especially if you have a family.

SPEEd racer car fuel- we need that

Speed racer is coming out today. Supposed to be terrible. But what powers it? maybe we can get that for our vehicles? And if it could do the stuff like speedracer, well you fly closer and around CG's and more
:)
