My local NWS office (NWS Indianapolis) is hosing Skywarn classes next month. Are there any age limits or or other requirements other than attending the class? I want to actually be certified, but I'm 16.

Elliot, Here in the St. Louis area they let all ages attend, they state spotter id's will only be given out to those that are at least high school age, you should be fine.

You should be fine. I've been registered as a spotter since I was 13, but haven't made any reports until I was 15 (my current age). As far as I know there really isn't an age limit. I'm not sure the NWS (Quad Cities office) knows my age, but I submit good reports. It really shouldn't matter as long as you know your stuff and know when/how to make a report!
