Sneak Peek Swift Weather Pro

Will this updated version be free for all members? I have GRLevel 3 and I am wondering will this be a automatic update or one I have to download? Sorry for going off topic.

I am sure SW is a descent program. (Can't say anything untill I try the new version) I just can't afford any monthly fee's right now. I only went with GRLevel3 because I realized only one payment of 80$ was a good deal for the software.

Good Luck with your new SW program.

Like I said before, I have no insider info. I think I read on the owner forum that you will have to pay another $80 for the new version. Now, don't quote me on that though. The best way to find out would be getting in contact with Mike personally. Let me go try to find it again in the owners forum.

EDIT: he does talk a little about a possible 2.0 version. Not many details right now though. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

He's posted some samples from his nationally-based app in the severe storms section, it will not be from GRLevel3 v2.0, it's something separate and more focused on the big picture.

Swift Weather has sent another email to me, and I signed up for the beta trial. They will select 50 people from the list that signed up. Curious to see where this goes...

Swift Weather Pro is also getting a new name for this software. They are calling it "Weather Defender". It wouldn't have been my idea to give it that name for this kind of software, but it is their company - that's for sure. I think I would have called it "Swift Weather Lab Pro" - or "SwiftMet Lab". Or give it a little English twist and call it "Swift's MetLab" - I like that one best. Now, that is a name that sounds like it means business...

Incorrect Matthew - they all run in Europe too.

Aleksandar - if you are having problems, contact the support for the software or start a new thread here if you must, because it's not related to Swift Weather Pro. And you'd need to provide a LOT more information for us to be able to help.

I'm thinking Aleksandar is wanting these programs to work for Europe, that is show Europe's radar and weather data.

I assumed he is looking for a program for chasing in his country. I did not think these programs would show storms over in Eruope? If I am wrong and he just wants to view storms in the US then I am incorrect.

No such software exists since Europe doesn't give out raw data unless you pay a LOT of money. Check various weather websites for your area - but you won't find software.

Well, I received a note from Mr Groves of 'Weather Defender" aka/formerly "SwiftWeather".
He said that I didn't make the cut of the first 50 people; but if there are any openings that may change.

Well, I guess he isn't going to get an honest evaluation of his product on this thread - on STORMTRACK - where it makes a difference from me...
But that could change IF he is up to the challenge.

I said that I didn't feel the name of his product was what I would have chosen.
But that doesn't mean that I wouldn't his software a fair shake - either.
I would - you can all be sure of that.
It's up to Mr. Rory Groves now - I guess.
Your move - Rory...
