Just a reminder that there's an Enterprise Rent-A-Car at the end of the parking lot of the Red Lion hotel. Address is 4080 Quebec St.; Red Lion is 4040 Quebec St. Economy through full-size classes are renting for $20 to $30 per day for rental this Thursday through Monday. Hotwire is showing $100 to $115 per day renting at the airport for the same time period. Enterprise has a drop box, since they're not open 24/7.
The Red Lion has a free shuttle to Denver International Airport.

I'm going to have some time to kill Friday and Sunday afternoon. (Flying in. No car.) Anybody sightseeing or just driving around? If you were going to rent a car anyway (or you're driving in), I'd be happy to chip in as long as we can split it 3 or 4 ways. P.M. me.

I'm staying at the Best Western Denver at 3737 Quebec Street, just down the street from the Red Lion where the convention is being held. If anyone is flying in and staying there and doesn't want to rent a car to commute to the Red Lion, I'll be happy to allow carpoolers. I have a F350 crew cab, so there's room for four passengers.

just tried to rent a car from them. sold out

I know nothing about Enterprise or their systems. Having worked in the development of billing and enrollment systems for the past 15 years, I will suggest that anyone operating with automated systems builds in speed bumps. When your demand spikes exponentially without a reason, you shut the channel down, get a human to look at it and assess.
Last year Chasercon fell on Valentine's weekend and cars were in very high demand by vacationing couples. If someone poorly modeled demand based solely on last year’s numbers, this is exactly the behavior I would expect. There could well be excess cars if someone was sloppy. I really would try back in several hours.

I'll be staying at the Timbers a couple miles east and will have a rental vehicle, and can provide rides back and forth to anyone needing them that way starting Friday through Sunday evening. PM me if you need a ride.
