Jimmy Silverstein
It another new guy!
Hey Guys (and girls),
My name is Jimmy Silverstein, im from the north suburbs of Chicago, IL and am currently finishing my second semester at Northern Illinois University. I too am a meteorology major, I'm taking Severe and Hazardous weather w/ Dr. Walker Ashley right now and absolutely love it. I've been a spectator on stormtrack for at least 8 months now, so real excited to ask questions and learn even more, especially from many of you with so much experience in the field. Although I currently do not know what I want to do w/ my major, I know it revolves somewhere around severe wx. I'm really excited because I am going on the College of DuPage Storm Chasing Trip for ten days from May 29-June 7, led by my own professor, Dr. Walker Ashley. I hope to gain a lot of experience from these ten days to perhaps go out on my own next year. I do love all weather, even if it's just laying on the grass, watching the puffy cumulus and making animals and objects out of the clouds. Last year I did "chase" a nice looking shelf cloud back in June 12th, got some good pics out of it. I just purchased myself Grlevel3 software about 3 months ago, and am definitely enjoying it. Well anyways I look forward to talking to all of you in the future.
