• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Just updated and it is working beautifully!

Side note. I had to completely uninstall the previous app and all files and install this one from scratch. No idea why.

The update is working great on both my phone (HTC Thunderbolt) and my tablet! (Asus Transformer) Good stuff Joe, thanks again...

Joe...fantastic update! I love the added features (city places, interstates, SN plots) and will really appreciate it more when there's actually rain on the display. The program runs perhaps a tad slower than the previous version but I understand fully since it's doing a heck of a lot more now! (using LG Ally)

Again, great job!

I really dislike having to hit the "Accept the Agreement" button every single time you open the program, should probably make that a one time accept and leave it that because it's really annoying, otherwise looks pretty good.

any plans to add sat visible and sat infrared with looping to this?

I appreciate your concerns on the Accept the agreement. Let's just say the lawyers are happier that way and they need to be happy for the product to be available. Sorry.

Adding looping on the satellite imagery? Well, I can look into it and add it to my feature queue at pykl3radar.com. Incidently, in the next version, perhaps this weekend when the weather settles down, the satellite image will be centered on the currently viewed RDA.

I didn't see satellite imagery even available on this product, is it there?

sucks about the lawyers, that's REALLY annoying.

Joe,

I just downloaded Version 2 and am very pleased with the way the product has been enhanced. I'll get some good opportunities to try it out this weekend in its non-chasing role in my life (making decisions on indoor or outdoor performance options based on realtime radar observations). The cities and highways are a big plus for my applications.

By the way, whoever wrote your User Agreement is missing out on big bucks in the entertainment industry.

Many thanks.

Sure is...it's available via the Gesture Pad. In 2.03 and before the image would be centered on your current position. However, in 2.04 and later, it will be centered on whichever RDA is being viewed. You can choose between visible, infrared, or water vapor courtesy of your tax dollars at the Marshall Space Flight Center.

Well after hearing positive reviews and great technical support from Joe on here, in addition to the Version 2 release, I finally decided to purchase this for my HTC Thunderbolt. While a bit slow, it seems to work well and will be very useful. Joe, I am looking forward to future updates on this product. Great job so far.

Just an fyi.... KRAX radar.... today pykl3 picked up on svr thunderstorm, but not tornado warning. I don't recall off hand if it picks up on tvs markers or not, but just in case it is supposed to, it did not!
again, just for information purposes only to help out
