• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

MobileThreatNet UPDATE RELEASED!!!!

I was just about to post that. I did hear from them and they requested that file. Hopefully, they will get a fix out before May.

Mobile Threat Net PLUS help request

For those of you using Mobile Threat Net or the new Mobile Threat Net PLUS update, we apologize if you have recently experienced crashes or any other problems. Please help us troubleshoot this by going to the program folder for Mobile Threat Net and e-mailing a copy of the file "mobilethreatnetErr.Txt" to [email protected] and [email protected].

Please please be sure you include your software version number in the email or at least mention that it was the new release. This will expedite a fix.

We thank you very much.

Regards,
Cliff Windham

I sent mine Cliff.

As a side note, please consider changing the color of the Mesoscale discussion outline. It was VERY hard to see in Texas with the mapping upgrade in place.

Your mesoscale discussion works then? I don't get shear anymore.. And have never gotten the day one convective or mesoscale discussion.. I'm on the Responder package too. They appear to come down, but the buttons aren't enabled.

Crashing

I installed the new update and had my vehicle on display at a local event and we had it running for over 11 hours straight and it never once stuttered. It worked flawless the entire time. My son gave it a pretty good work out watching some storms elsewhere in the US on the nearly 2 hour trip home and still no issues. I can assure you that they will get whatever problems corretced though since I have had a need to deal with tech support in the past and they worked for a couple hours to get my problem solved and I was very pleased with both the results and the way they handled it.

Only problem I am seeing is the Wind and Shear are now missing. Storm tracks also seem to be missing. I will have to send an email and see what is up with that.

Is anyone else having the problem in which the shear tab no longer works after loading the update? I am also NOT getting the outlooks and mesoscale discussions. My new Dell Latitude is having these problems even though the xm radio is showing it is loading these packets. What is strange is that my Dell insperon is not having any problems with the new version while my Dell Latitude is having a ton of problems. Could this be a driver problem?
