MobileThreatNet UPDATE RELEASED!!!!

Is anyone else having the problem in which the shear tab no longer works after loading the update? I am also NOT getting the outlooks and mesoscale discussions. My new Dell Latitude is having these problems even though the xm radio is showing it is loading these packets. What is strange is that my Dell insperon is not having any problems with the new version while my Dell Latitude is having a ton of problems. Could this be a driver problem?

I am not seeing the following
Shear does not work - it is grayed out
Winds do not work - again grayed out
Surface works but you can't move forward or anything...blue in the middle but gray on the left and right
Waves works but you can't move forward or anything...just the middle part is blue
No Mesoscale
No Day 1
No storm tracks are showing up
The middle part of the visibility is blue but the left and right are solid gray

When you do click on these gray areas it brings up the pop-up box that shows the XMLink=Radio info.

Also I do not have the file, that Cliff mentioned earlier in the thread. The error file. Nothing like that in my folder. I have not had any crashes yet.

This is EXACTLY what mine is doing... Exactly... I am reloading the original Mobile threat net until Baron's get's this figured out...

Since I installed MTN 1.35 I have only ran the program twice for about three hours, I did not experience any problems what so ever. However, prior to downloading and installing the new version of Mobilethreat net my shear product was working but after the installation it was grayed out. After I called and upgraded my service back to Responder all the buttons became active again. I guess where I am going with this is has anyone tried to do a signal refresh after their installation.

I think that the problem has something to do with windows XP pro cause I have not seen the error when running Vista

Thank you for your patience as we endeavor to correct any problems with the first release of the new Mobile Threat Net PLUS update posted 3/30/07. If you downloaded that update, we are now releasing a new beta version that is designed to correct any problems you may have experienced. The complete test of this version will come when multiple NWS warnings are issued during the next severe weather event. This beta version contains the new Users Guide for Mobile Threat Net PLUS which can also be viewed and/or downloaded separately. If you have not upgraded from Mobile Threat Net version 1.33 yet, you may chose to continue using that version until the final version of Mobile Threat Net PLUS is available, or you can download and try the beta update of Mobile Threat Net PLUS now.

In the interim new orders for Mobile Threat Net PLUS for first time customers, product questions, and feedback should be directed to, Cliff Windham at 256-881-8811 or to Cliff at [email protected]. NO problems with the new 1.35a update yet. I did have it crash on me three times with the previous 1.35, however I haven't used 1.35a as long yet. I just run it here on my desktop when I don't plan on going anywhere.

With 1.35a I was still missing the data with Responder, but when going through Activation Mode again like Cliff said, everything is exactly as it should be now.

Here are a few steps that should fix your problem that you are having.

In the XMLink window please select Tools > Activation Mode. Once your
service level is defined as Responder select done. Once the XMLink window
states your service level restart your Mobile Threat Net software and this
should allow for you to see all of the products.

You may stay with version 1.33 for a while, but you will have to have version 1.35 before you can upgrade to whatever the version after that will be. Meanwhile, there a lot of nice new features in 1.35 that would make it worth going to as soon as the final version is released. Regards, Cliff
