MobileThreatNet UPDATE RELEASED!!!!

I just downloaded it and currently running 1.35a. The only thing I see wrong is that the winds bar is staying gray. However, I do believe with the Master Mariner data package (which is what I have) this is suppose to be included in the data. Thus the bar should be blue or red. If I can't fix it so be it, I didn't use that feature much, but I just would like the upgrade not to be a downgrade...

Hi Robert - I've noticed the same thing on my setup. I am going to be calling Baron here in a little bit. I'll keep you aprised of what I find.

I have a call into Gavin at WxWorx. He is looking into our issue. He does not believe this feature was removed from the Master Mariner package.


Ok, just talked to Gavin again at WxWorx - here's some dissapointing news.

They have removed Upper level Wind data from the master Mariner package. We will still have surface.

Gavin wasn't happy about it, and I wasn't either - I told him to maybe have Cliff come on here to talk about it, as there are a number of chasers that have only the master mariner package. So, hopefully we will hear something from Cliff. If you are dissapointed in the decision, please give WxWorx a call.

Hi everyone. First of all, a big thank you for bearing with us though the current major software upgrade of Mobile Threat Net. We will hopefully be posting the final version of v 1.35 or Mobile Threat Net PLUS on our websites soon. Yes it is true that if you are using the “Master Mariner” data service, the “Winds” button is grayed out and you lose winds-aloft with the upgrade, but Master Mariner will still give you SURFACE winds as wind-barbs using the “Surface” button. However, please note that with the upgrade you now get all of the Canadian weather products when using Master Mariner that you didn’t get before. I can't seem to upgrade from the last version to the 1.35. Not sure why. Keep getting the same screen

I tried the remove program and started over from the base CD to the 1.33 then to 1.35. No luck though in getting it to install.

Here is the fix

Hi Beau,Try moving the upgrade folder from your Mobile Threat Net folder to yourdesktop or anywhere but your Mobile Threat Net folder then unzip it and gothrough the install process. Be sure you Mobile Threat Net software is notrunning when you attempt this install. After the installation, start theMobile Threat Net program and see if it is upgraded. If this doesn't workplease call me at 256-881-8811 and we'll see what's wrong.Thanks, Cliff
