I had two today....

<someone keeps kerchunking the repeater>
Net control: Can someone tell me the purpose of repeatedly keying the repeater?

--

NWS Liason: Be advised they just put out a new mesodiscussion.
Net Control: Yea I saw that... did they draw it with a crayon?
NWS Liason: I was not going to give them that much credit.

By the way - heres the drawing

That's not an image of the MCD. That's an image of the MCD overlaid with a bunch of other stuff. It's that "other stuff" that makes it unreadable. It's not the MCD creators issue..it's an issue of how the web guy chooses to depict the information.

I'd be kicking the web guy, not the creator of the MCD.

rdale is correct. The author of the MCD creates the plot that accompanies the MCD's issuance. Typically, the lead forecaster on shift would also take a look at the graphic and text.

I don't know about exact quotes, but some of the "local" nets are rather interesting with the stuff they talk about during a severe weather event. I've really got to set-up a continuous recording on some of this stuff.

Heard a few two weeks ago on a neighboring counties net.

One spotter reports a wall cloud with rotation, the NWS liasion then asks if this is something that should be passed on to CLE.

Same night, another individual comes on and says he knows they are under a tornado warning, and then proceeds to ask why the tornado sirens are going off.
