Do any of the GP (or competing) models allow the use of a proper external microphone?
The thin audio is bad enough, but the loud plastic rattle so typical of these cameras drives me insane.

There's a 3.5 mm adapter you can get for it, but you'll need a housing that you can use to plug it in with, as the standard housing does not have any external connectivity.
