Kim Klockow is a graduate student at the University of Oklahoma (OU). Her thesis research is a study of the economic and social impacts of the Oklahoma Mesonet. In addition, she has participated in two OU side projects: (1) a case study of risk perception by OU meteorologists who traveled to the 2007 AMS Annual Meeting through an ice storm, and (2) a study of the relationship between beliefs about climate change and political affiliation. Her double undergraduates degrees, from Purdue University, are in economics and meteorology, and her senior thesis involved a study of the economic impact of tornadoes. (7/08)
