• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Well... I've done the math and I can finally justify selling some of my primes and switching to a mixed/ prime-zoom lens collection. As a result, it is a great time for the rest of you to pick up some awesome low-light performing prime lenses.

Check the individual sales for details, but in general, all of the lenses (especially glass) are in great condition barring a few dust particles. No scratches on any of the elements. All lenses also include lens hoods... they are either built in, or clip on.

Here is the low down. Prices include shipping. Included in each link are details(how much they cost new/used etc.) and numerous pictures of both the lens and photographs I have taken with it. It is safe to say I will miss all of these lenses... they really have served me well, but it is time to pick up some L zooms :D.

From what I can tell, all prices are either competitive or cheaper than the going rate on ebay! Plus you have the knowledge that these lenses have served a storm chaser well for the past few years.

Sigma 20mm f/1.8 EF mount. $300

Canon 100mm f/2 Ultrasonic Motor $320

Canon 200mm f/2.8 L MKI Prime. $420

Canon 300mm f/4 L Prime. $575

As far payment, money order or certified check would be preferable. If you are within 30~miles of Norman, we can meet in person (and I can take cash in that case).

If you're in the Norman area and would just like to try the lenses out on your own camera before you decide, let me know and we can arrange a time.
