Fat Lady Sings Again ... Early in 2013 season!

Good day all,

The tropics has appeared to finally shut down for good for 2013 - After the most disappointing season I've seen since the 80's (if that).

So that famous 'fat lady singing' thread appears again (sigh)...

LOL ... She's not singing a happy song as 2013 didn't have much in this (western) hemisphere - It must be the Blues ;-)

I think she was singing since June 1 and we did not want to hear it!

It's interesting to compare this season's ACE score to other seasons. At least for the Atlantic, this was the third quietest season in 60 years with an ACE score of 28 (so far at least). 1983 was slower with an ACE score of 17. Quite a difference compared to 2005's score of 250!

I know about the ACE index, and I think 2005 was the only time we had an ACE similar to the Pacific Basin! This year, year, forget it in the Atlantic.
