Ok if anyone can help I'd appreciate it.

I bought a used copy of Delorme Street Atlas 2007 with the LT-20 Earthmate GPS device.

I saw this thread when I was trying to troubleshoot, but can't get it to work
http://www.spotternetwork.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1615

I noticed he's talking about COM Ports and my LT-20 is a USB.

Delorme Recognizes the USB, but SN, and GRLevel3 will not.

I did everything in that thread it said to do including downloading and installing the Splitter software, and now neither Delorme nor SN or GRLevel3 will recognize the GPS.

I have a solid red light on the GPS, vista recognizes it and installed the drivers, but none of the other programs recognize it.

Using SN Client 3.0.2.

I can't click on File - Settings and change the com ports in SN because on my version it doesn't have that option.

I clicked on check for updates and it says I have the most up to date version.

Can anyone help me get this thing running?

I've already rebooted and then plugged in the USB and trie to start the splitter but it refuses to lock on to a GPS.

I set one of the COM Ports (#2) to NMEA.

If I remember right from early this spring, someone said Delorme uses it's own language to communicate between the LT-20 and the software. It is not NEMA compatible. Also, I think most said their emulator was junk!

Search Mikey Gribble. I think he had the same problem and ended up buying a USGlobalSat gps puck to solve the problem.

ok i reset the defaults in Delorme and it locked onto the satellite, and acquired.

restarted the Splitter software and I got the green light.

now just a matter of getting SN and GRlevel3 to recognize it.

Jeff that's not the news I was hoping to hear :( I just spent $30 on this.

just wondering how you make all this work with GPSGate 2.5?

I downloaded it and installed it but I don't know how it works.
