I've been looking for a thread where people share there chase setups and haven't been able to find one yet so I've decided to start my own. Just a place to show some pics of you vehicle ready to chase.

So I'll start with mine. It's a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer.

Here is a list of some of the equiptment shown.
-Whelen guardian magnetic mount lightbar.
-Cobra Cb
-Unidend BCT15X scanner
-400 Watt power inverter
-Dell D830 Laptop
GRLevel3
Mobile Threatnet
SpotterNetwork
Streets & Trips
Logitech anywhere mouse
-Sony Handycam HDR-XR500 with X0.7 wide angle lens
-Ram mount camera mount
-Ram mount laptop mount
-first aid kit

So that's what I use, can't wait to see what other people are doing.

Now, I like that set up very much. It's not only clean, but a great use of space.. Nice!

I'm currently using a Gamber-Johnson mobile laptop station (Dell Inspiron E1505), along with several RAM Mounting Systems habiliments for the Logitech (streaming) QuickCam Pro 9000 â„¢ webcam.

The radio equipment is mounted within a used Jotto Desk console that's custom-built for Chevrolet Impalas. The console came in on trade from a law enforcement agency, though I had to have the factory contrive the faceplates for each individual radio.

Sweet. I like those computer mounts, but those are so expensive.

This is actually my second computer mount, the first one I bought was half the price but absolutly sucked. I would definately recomend just spending the money the first time.

Jesse, I like the cousel with the radio equiptment, for now I'm trying to keep my stuff from getting too tied down because my trailblazer is my everyday vehicle and I don't always want all of my equiptment in it.

The setup may look ghetto compared to some of the set-ups pictured above, but I got everything needed to get the job done.

Check out the guts.

Everything is right there when I need it. I prefer to fly solo and have designed the set-up around that. If I take someone, they got to ride in the back.

I got a custom made camera mount I can throw in when I need to stay in the ride. The mount produces a stable and steady picture and can be used with ease.

Basically, we got like the minimum of whats needed to chase storms effectively but its all here. Heres a list of the equipment I got for it.

* Nextech 175w power invertor
* Delorme Earthmate LT-40 GPS
* Grlevel3 with Shapefiles and Maps
* UM175 wireless internet card with antenna
* Microsoft HD cam for streaming
* Sony HDR-FX7 for filming
* Sony A-200 for shooting
* Cell phone for calling

I'm more of a spotter but here's my setup. Lightbar has recently been removed. I pay very close attention to windspeed and direction don't you know. ;)

Your setups need more light bars!

Here is my future set up for this year that I am working on:

I'll have to get one of them thar 'Doopler Radar' whatzamahoozits too!
:D
Can't really see the three antennas I have on here. A 10/11 meter antenna, a 2m/440 antenna, and a cellular amp antenna. Yes; I need to put some tires on this - but not for another 5-10k miles.

The small child deployer is a nice touch, and it's quite thoughtful of you to broadcast van halen for everyone else, but what I want to know is how well do those mobile tornado generators actually work, lol.

ok, so I guess i'll jump into the fray. I have a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer LT 4x4. The laptop desk is a Havis Shields desk. I got to see David Drummonds setup last weekend.. His is pretty sweet.. I can't wait for him to chime in. :D

Mine is a 1997 Ford Taurus. I've got a 2 meter radio, a scanner, and a MURS radio to talk to the other car when I'm out with more that one car. I try to run as incognito as possible, but the three antennas kind of give me away.

I don't have any mounts or lightbars or anything fancy...just a laptop with a data card, a scanner, a GPS, some maps, and a Ford Focus (with new Goodyear Eagle GT tires) to make it all happen. The hardware sits on the passenger side floor all tangled up in a heap. The laptop sits on the passenger side seat.
I'd love to have all the other good stuff seen here...maybe after another 5 years or so it'll happen.
