• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

We have our 2010 video ready to trade (no sales). Run time is about 1:08 and includes footage and stills from 16 chase days. Featured chase days are May 22, June 16, June 17, June 25, July 10, July 13, and August 7. A photo montage as well as a short section showcasing some our wildlife / outdoor adventures is included.

Here is a link to the trailer:

Please email me at [email protected] if interested. Thanks!!!

I received my copy in the mail yesterday and watched it last night.

I very much enjoyed watching this DVD and actually wound up laughing quite a few times which is a nice twist on a chase DVD. Between the random acts of traffic stupidity [some of it chasers] being showcased and some mild rants this DVD offers a more rounded look at the variety of weather and nature that can be experienced across a particular region. The musical montages were great. The DVD has it all and I will enjoy watching it again, even the credits had a moment in there that made me laugh.

Keep up the good work Bill

Glad this thread got bumped to remind me to comment on this one. I've been trading DVD's with Bill for several years now every fall, and while every DVD is definitely worth the watch, his 2010 production takes the cake out of any that he's put together in my opinion. Both because of the incredible year that Bill and family had this spring and summer, but because as Adam said the at times humorous and overall fun to watch moments that he always seems to document so well.

The August Minnesota EF4 tornado was certainly the highlight for me, but even on what could be considered a "down day" for Bill in 2010 was full of beautiful skies. When I sit down to watch storm chaser DVD's, I have a habit of fast forwarding a lot to get to the "action shots", but I never once hit the fast forward on this DVD, and in fact ended up re-watching a lot of it a couple days later.

I watched Bill's "Northern Plains Defrosted" awhile ago and missed the thread in here, but thought I should chime in anyway. This DVD is filled with great footage. August 7 steals the show but there is plenty of great tornado footage from other events as well. This DVD is quite well rounded and I think really captures the essence of chasing, showing the different aspects from tornadoes, and storm structure, to dealing with some of the hassles and humorous moments that come during a chase. If you're looking to trade, make sure you don't miss this one.
