Also, Scott W's picture is very Hollingsteadesque. Solid.

LOL, I actually got a random e-mail once accusing me of using one of Mike's images from that storm. Unfortunately, I didn't get the nice CG shot he got. If I recall correctly, Mike and I were on the same road a few times hence the similar images.

I did manage to get one good shot of the storm with a big CG coming out the front, but my tripod managed to slide up a little and I got almost none of the foreground in the shot.

This is laughable compared to the incredible photos you guys have posted, but this is still my favorite structure shot of '08. I like how you can see the wallcloud below, and still see the entire updraft above it as you look at it from behind the storm.

As a structure fanatic, this almost made up for my missing the Beloit/Glen Elder beast on May 29 by less than half an hour... although I won't deny feeling a bit of a sting after seeing Chris's jaw-dropping shot from that day a couple pages back. ;)

A few of my favorites....

Some from Rice County, KS

My wife took the pictures, but I was in the area as well. We didn't have to chase this one. It came to us. These are from May 6th, 2008

I see Pat uploaded a few of his images of an Alberta storm so I thought I would also. This LP Supercell photo was taken just southwest of Alsike, Alberta on July 29, 2007. It did go on to drop a funnel 3/4 of the way to the ground, but I couldn't confirm a ground circulation. I wish I had the camera and lens I have now, so I apologize for the poor, noisy image quality.

Here's a few of my favorite shots:

A gorgeous nighttime 'wedding cake' structured low-topped LP supercell with tornado, north of New Raymer, Colorado, July 10, 2007:

A 3 shot panorama of an ominous gust front ahead of a massive HP supercell near Carneiro, Kansas on June 6, 2008:

The spectacular Dighton, Kansas mesocyclone and multi-vortex tornado of May 23, 2008 (note - enhanced for contrast):

I pretty much use this photo for my favorite of everything about storm chasing. :)

May 1st, 2008 just north east of Oklahoma City. The storm didn't ever put down a tornado that I know of, but the structure and motion was incredible. I have a timelapse video here:

Nope, no tornado, but that storm was the most beautiful thing I have seen in my short time chasing. While going a little farther north would have resulted in seeing multiple tornadoes, I am glad I stayed where I was :)
