• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Here are some of my better ones. Note that the quality of the storm structure is far better than the quality of the photography.

02/28/07 young supercell near Yates Center KS... the colors in this scene were insanely vivid (orange-pinks and violets) but were washed out by my bad photography http://www.tornadohead.com/167-6793_imgA.jpg

I am a structure freak...a chase is a success if it has sick structure, tornadoes are just a bonus!

Wow, Willoughby your view was incredible on May 22 07!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is ours at 10 mm......we could see the entire thing rotating....breathtaking.

This was in August of 07'......temperature fluctuation of about 19 degrees after the outflow hit us (in 100 degree weather, it was nice!)

This was Quinter #1 supercell just minutes after it was first tornado-warned.

I agree with Dick, I also love storm structure as well and in fact it was seeing the structure of a storm about 25 miles away in 1995 that made me want to chase. If I get great shots of storm structure, I'm happy. The pictures are great, some very awesome shots.

Beautiful photos everybody, wow there are some amazing shots in here.
These are from one of my favorite storms from western Alberta, Canada, a few miles SE of Caroline and a few minutes apart. July 17, 2006.

Beloit, Kansas on May 29, 2008 (Glenn Elder / Jewell tornadic supercell).

Need I say more?

Aaaaand Chris Collura for the win. I was waiting for you or Bill Hark to post that one. Well played. Is that a video grab? If so, do you have the vid posted somewhere?

Also, Scott W's picture is very Hollingsteadesque. Solid.

Good day all,

Aaaaand Chris Collura for the win. I was waiting for you or Bill Hark to post that one. Well played. Is that a video grab? If so, do you have the vid posted somewhere?

I am putting together a DVD for 2008 which should have all the storms of 2008 on a 2 hour DVD extravaganza.

The pre-view video (for May 29, 2008) can be seen at the link below (requires real media)...
