iMap. Not killer like the iphone but we've only had the Droid for a short while now.

Anyone see this yet? Geez, I had the cool phone for a few months and now it might as well have come with a backpack and have 1992 marked on it. The Shadow will be here soon! Not much info on who's going to carry it but an 8MP camera and HDMI video out?! That's going to be tempting if it hits Verizon...

Yea Radar Now is pretty good, we talked about that app a bit when the thread started. I like imap and weather bug elite better though since they have more features.

A new app was posted today in the Android market which to me is essential! The Sholes Mod Updater (or SMUpdater as it's called in the market) is up for a measly $5 and is well worth it. As long as your phone is rooted already, this app is a 1 click solution to giving you free wifi tether, multi touch, finally a flick-able photo gallery, music player with cover flow, and the ability to over clock your processor. I got my Droid now clocked to a full 1ghz and it is screaming. The wifi tether works flawlessly as well which I am going to use for mobile data this year. Anyway, its a great solution for anyone looking to deck their Android phone out that doesn't know how to code in Unix (such as myself) Highly recommended and a steal at $5!:D

What phone do you have? I am a couple weeks new with the Andriod OS as I have Sprint's HTC Hero. So far, love it!!!

I have the Verizon version of Sprint's Hero. It's the Droid Eris and I love it. I think it performs just as well as the Iphone. It doesn't have as many apps, but it still has plenty.

So the Palm Pre is no more eh? I have the Droid. I'm pretty sure the app will work on the Hero as well though. It will void your warranty big time, so careful. Also, your phone has to be rooted with superuser access. I'll show you what I've done with mine next weekend at the convention.

Got mine today and love it. It's my first smart phone and I've been spending the past few hours just learning how to use it and downloading free apps. I'll be downloading some of the different radar apps soon and will give feedback. I just found out I can watch NFL games on this thing too, pretty sweet!

I went and messed around with one the other day and man is that thing fast! Screen to screen was very quick. Internet pages loaded really fast, and the camera was excellent. Only thing I didn't like was that it felt kind of plastic-ish like it wouldn't be very durable. I like my Moto Droid in that sense because it feels sturdier. Anyway, nice to hear a good review so far. If I were eligible for upgrade I might snag one up but I'm going to see what the Moto Shadow is going to offer this summer...

Solved the plastic-ish feeling by buying a case for it. The case is very durable and the phone has a much better feel to it. Haven't used the 8 meg camera yet, but will start snapping away soon. Sure are lots of apps to choose from!
