7/2 Hallock, MN Tornadoes

Naturally, I missed the best storm in the Valley this year as I was on
vacation. A photographer captured some spectacular images of the

Like Justin, I was out of town on vacation over the 4th of July weekend. If I had been in town, this was only an hour's drive or so NNE of GFK. I was at Lake Eue Claire (WI), far, far away and totally unaware of what was happening.

I don't know if I would give it quite a 10... everyone needs one of these:

Easy way to prevent tilted horizons. Many tripods also have built in levels. I have a small bubble leveling mount that attaches below my tripod head that can level up to 15degrees or so. A must have.

Tilted horizon? Aaron, that's a rare Minnesota hillside! The train track in the immediate foreground is parallel, so the photographer is on the level.

I nominate the Tornado with Yellow Eyes (even if they are headlight reflections) for the Scariest Storm Image thread...
