• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Well it appears most of today's severe reports have occured outside of the risk areas from pulse storms largely concentrated around the Chicago Metro area. Several 60mph+ wind gusts. Right now there is a nice discreet cell with a slight right turn moving into Will County, IL. TOR is currently in effect. Looks to make a direct hit on the Joliet and Lockport areas.

Just got back from that TOR warned cell. Got on it in southern LaSalle County well before it had any warning on it. Had nice structure. Got penny - quarter size hail just west of Morris. Was a complete soaker, NO visibility at all, leaving Morris flooded. I won't go into the suburbs, TOR warned or not, especially this time of day. So I went as far as a few miles NE of Morris & then headed back to Ottawa. It won't stay that way for long, Lake Michigan will make sure of that.

Took a very crappy cell in home town.. Actually had some rotation for a bit, but did see a non rotating wall cloud.. Very Heavy Rain.. Nothing Else..

We had a cell move into WI from IL that layed the smack down in Racine and Milwaukee county. Many reports of trees, poles etc damaged and we handled a semi that was blown over by straight-line winds as the storm passed over I-94. There was also some hail large enough to take out some windows and damage one of our cruisers.

Ugh, currently watching decent looking storms DIE just a few miles away as they approach me. It seems to never fail. Just look at those dbz values plummet!

On a different note, parts of far northern, IL and especially southern WI have been inundated by almost nonstop rains since late this afternoon.
