5/25/08 NOW: WI/MN/IA/IL/KS/NE/OK

Filmed a tornado just south of La Crosse Rapid rotation, never condensed all the way down but I did note dust underneath it, left the hordes of chasers and that storm for the next one coming up from the South.

Supercell with a major hook echo and huge hail just NW of the twin cities.

i have never seen a hook so curly in all my times watching the radar...it definatly has a unique radar presentation...

its in a fairly populated area...looks to be headed to the andover suburbs about now...

Notice now what looks to be an outflow boundary showing up on ICT radar loop, a little bow moving north and slightly west. This SC Kansas area just outside of the watch boxes, but parameters are improving.

John Wetter has a chase cam on that MN storm. 133 knt TVS on that one now; he's had a wall cloud and I think I could see a big white cone at one point but the cam went out right at that time.

Also, that huge wall cloud in Ellis/Rush CO KS can be seen on the TVN stream page: http://www.tornadovideos.net/index.cfm/do/s.livetracker

Edit: Here's another cam on the MN storm; Tim Purington: http://www.severestudios.com/cgi-bin/stream.pl?username=tim.purington&uid=33

Sitting just north of Sanford, TX, right now. Did see a pretty impressive wall cloud about 15-20 minutes. Waiting to see if the SW flank of this big HP is going to reorganize.

Kenny Drake witnessed a tornado ENE of Hugo, MN he said the RFD also did damage flipping over cars and bringing down power lines. He also said the sirens were not going off for up to 30 minutes before the tornado.

The met on tv for CH13 in Iowa had a report the wedge tornado in IA just nw of Waterloo hit the Parkerburg School and did damage. I hope there was no students in the school at the time it hit if the report is true.

The storm in IA has one of the most impressive reflectivity signatures that I've ever seen. It is right up there with the SPI supercell on 3/12/06.
