Lots of convective debris floating up off the OK storms, all the way across Kansas now. Wonder if this will inhibit the northern storms. Almost thinking of heading back west now. 3 hr RUC wants to break out the precip to our west, closer to Hastings, which would match up with the line coming down out of central NE right now. Think it's time to head to Hastings/York vicinity after looking at this.

This Oklahoma storm has been incredible to watch. For what it's worth, CNN has been breaking in live and showing the KWTV Ranger 9 feed as these develop. So if you live outside Channel 9's viewing area and aren't able to get a stream of their coverage, you might look to CNN to keep up with storm.

Also, the overall size of this storm has really increased over the last few minutes. It was rather smallish for much of its life, but now it is a full blown monster of a storm. The rotation has also increased since the previous scan.

Good day all,

Stuck here in Grand Island, Kansas ... Cell breaking cap to the north of town.

Dryline visible to my west ... Sitting at Sinclair with 20+ other chasers (Tim Samaras, Tony Laubach, Verne Carlson - to name a few).

Initiation imminent up here ;-)

Southern target sure paid off today. This storm is just spitting out tornados - large tornados - left and right. Wonder how many chasers are on it... Hopefully somebody's having an exciting day in OK...

Edit: now it's a huge multi-vortex wedge/wallcloud-on-the-ground... Amazing.

Line is firming up nicely in Nebraska and initiation is definitely underway north of GRI. Have repositioned closer to Red Cloud, in the hopes for a storm on the south side of the watch box.

Have seen multiple tornadoes on a storm from Hennessey OK ENE large rain wrapped tornado visible with low rumbling noise heard broke out of the core just north of Orland on 77. Watching storm approach from the WSW.

Several of us sitting south of York Nebraska working on our sun tans! Cumulus has been firing and dying quickly. Atmosphere appears capped. Towers go up and fall apart. Good kinematics here so we are going to hope the dry line can push east a bit and help us out.

should be noted that flooding will likely be occuring in the storm exiting garfield county, keep that in mind with possible escape routes for those chasing the storm
