Was anyone here active that day? I was nine years old and remember it like it was yesterday. I had moved to the St. Louis area just two years prior and this was my first tornado. I was living in St. Peters, MO. I seem to recall two rounds of thunderstorms that day, the morning one and the one that produced the tornadoes. The morning one seemed like run of the mill storms to me. It seemed warm that day and humid too. We had hail about the size of peas at my house. The dog went nuts as we were in the basement tuned into Channel 2 watching Dave Murray
