Who knows what's going to happen with the way the GFS is jumping around, but recent runs suggest a possible cold core event in the central plains toward the end of next week, maybe Friday.
The GFS shows strong upper low lifting northeast across KS, somewhat similar to 2/24. With the moisture in the plains ahead of next weeks trough, instability shouldn't be a big issue. Although this will probably change given it's still a week away, I will be in IA so that ups the chances.
