KWCH still trying to validate a tornado on the ground. NWS staff have taken cover and they are still reporting power flashes near Haysville. Lyons cell still getting spotter reports of large 1/2 mile wide tornado, I wonder how recent those were

Too bad there are only about 700 chasers on the scene to give them ground truth, since they apparently are unable to step outside the office door to see for themselves.

Should be interesting to see what KIAB reports in the next few minutes... the AFB on the southeast side of town. If there is a tornado on the ground, it would be fairly close to, perhaps right on top of, that station.

Trajectory appears to be deviating a bit to the right now... from what I can tell, not from an occlusion but from an increase in downdraft interaction (becoming more HPish or outflow dominant maybe). So yeah, more toward McConnell AFB now.

I agree with Tim. Looks like super outflow dominant in last two scans though circulation appears just NW of McConnel. Greenwich Heights looks next.

KIAB reported a 51 knot gust just now, 3 minutes ago. Which means that as of 3 minutes ago, the station was still there. It seems like its in the gap between the two split cells.

The storm that passed by Lyons seems to be on almost exactly the same track as an earlier storm today... between Geneseo and Little River.
