There is a nice mostly isolated storm with a couplet and TVS in North Carolina (Wayne County, south of Goldsboro). The storm is between lines and is moving due east. Radar shows an outflow boundary from by that storm. It curves off to the southwest and is moving south and east. I have been watching this set up all day but can't chase do to a test next week. I even have the afternoon off. Not that I am studying.

That storm was showing a pretty distinct hook on the southern edge for awhile but seems to be weakening at the moment. However there still seems to be strong rotation in the mid-levels of the storm. The line of storms to its southeast seem to be nearly stationary, maybe even moving to the northeast. There is definitely more potential for tornadic storms to develop throughout that area.

That outflow boundary is very well defined on the radar. I would think the storm is shelfing out about now.

Baseball sized hail report from that storm in Newton Grove. Less than an hour from Raleigh (where I just was last week).

Just from watching things the past few years, the area east of I-95 is frequently getting some chaseable supercells.
