A SECOND STORM SYSTEM REACHES THE CENTRAL COAST SATURDAY AND BEGINS
MOVING DOWN THE COAST ON SUNDAY. THIS SYSTEM LOOKS COLDER AND WETTER
THAN TODAYS SYSTEM WITH MORE INSTABILITY...AS WELL. EXPECT THAT IT
WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING SOME INTENSE SHOWERS AND POSSIBLE
THUNDERSTORMS

EXTENDED...MEDIUM RANGE MODELS ARE IN PRETTY GOOD AGREEMENT THROUGH
THE WEEK. A THIRD...MUCH STRONGER SYSTEM...EXPECTED TO PASS DIRECTLY OVER THE
REGION LATE WEDNESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY. THIS THIRD SYSTEM WILL BRING
EVEN COLDER AND MORE UNSTABLE CONDITIONS TO THE REGION ALONG WITH
PRECIPITATION. AT THIS TIME IT LOOKS LIKE A HEAVY SNOW PRODUCER WITH
POSSIBLE SEVERE WEATHER ALONG THE SOUTH COASTAL REGION.

brian..this has certainly been an interesting wek wiht some fore fun ahead. Things sure do look like they are coming into place nicely. It is not often that we get severe weather, such as the tornadoes this week. I will be more prepared for the next few sorms and i might do some local chasing with my new camera.

EXTENDED...MEDIUM RANGE MODELS ARE IN GOOD AGREEMENT. THESE MODELS
SUGGEST THAT AN UPPER TROUGH WILL PERSIST OVER THE REGION ON
WEDNESDAY AND THAT ANOTHER STORM WILL MOVE DOWN THE COAST LATE
WEDNESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY. AT THIS TIME...THIS STORM IS EXPECTED TO
TRACK FURTHER WEST AND OVER THE WATER. THIS WOULD PUT IT IN CLASSIC
POSITION TO PRODUCE MORE SEVERE WEATHER OVER THE SOUTHLAND LATE
THURSDAY AND FRIDAY MORNING.

Looking good

Saw about 3 or 4 waterspouts off of the Dana Point headland yesterday around 3pm or so. The cell had really nice structure... made me long for the plains!!

Prohibited content. Stormtrack strives for a very high signal/noise ratio in Target Area since many chasers use this forum on the road and can't sift through pages of fluff. These items are prohibited and will result in Target Area privilege suspension:

Got an amazing waterspout this afternoon off of Palos Verdes. (LA County). It lasted about 10 minutes. Supercell like structures with a definite wall cloud. Lot's of cloud to water lightning too. Awesome. I still need to get my site up and going so I can post my photos. I can e-mail them o whoever wants to see a few.

My e-mail is :[email protected]

Hopefully tomorrow as the low comes over we will get some more action.

longing for spring, but this works for now. My own back yard.

I am very eager to see these waterspout pictures. Being 14 and living at the coast, waterspouts are the only action i get to see. Last year, i saw about 7 total. I am eager to see more this year.

Incredible shots!

Got a call from my brother saying that there was a good cell in the
Santa Monica bay. Thought I would further investigate.

Here is what I got. An amazing day.

Got to the beach at 4pm and this is how the story goes.

Parent Thunderstorm with consistent cloud to water lightning and wall
cloud.
