This NOW thread is being started for a variety of reasons and areas. First of all, the NWS has issued a SWW for SD this afternoon. Currently, the NWS is also having MSC discussions about severe thunderstorm threats for the following areas: MT, ND, IN, IL, OH, NC, SC and FL. We could wind up with a handful of SWWs before the afternoon/evening is over. Post your storm discussions here.
Update: Currently there are three SWWs and one TORN watch in the Northern Plains. Some hail and wind damage reports are coming in from SD and ND.
