Small mothership supercell nw of Canadian right now. I'd say it could tor as it looks right now.

Craig Maire is now near Slapout OK (just W US283 on US270). He says to me: "Well, today wasn't as good as yesterday...WHOA, I'VE GOT A LOWERING!!! I'LL CALL YOU BACK LATER!!"

LMAO

Lead one has pretty sweet structure, but no longer thinking it is likely to tor.....at least not in the next few minutes. Amazing light show around these, small crawlers galore and even plenty of cg activity.

i havent seen as much as you but that storm is definately the most electified I have seen...

Just Left Follett heading south on 1454 then heading east on 3004. Trying not to get plowed over again like back in Vici on the 5th. Have noticed a huge increase in lightining to our SW which would be off that beast in that OCHILTREE county. trying to head east towards Shattuck OK. Anyone else in this area?

Front now surging south across central OK and NW/NC TX panhandles. Could get interesting on the tail-end storm in NE Hutchinson Co. extending into Ochiltree Co. Maybe a bit of enhanced localized SRH.;)

Trained Weather Spotters are reporting a developing tornado 13 miles southwest of Lipscomb moving northeast at 25 MPH. It should be moving across the TX boarder into OK.

Storm in Harper County OK has a nice hook and is now TOR warned. Anyone chasing these storms? The event is still not over yet.

Still sitting here in Shattuck. Impressive lightining to my west. want to head north but again, no Vici repeat.

Well GR3 advising that an even stornger circulation is moving over the to the town of Lipscomb, advises that the circulation is heading straight east. if I stay in my current spot then it will come right to Shattuck!

There seems to be a fortunate (so far) kink in the set-up today of storms not being able to produce large tornadoes despite multiple, impressive, low, rotating wall clouds and impressive radar features/shear. It will be interesting to see what prevented this from being a deadly outbreak, as several sig. circulations passed right over populated areas. This includes storms with unobstructed and uncontaminated s/se inflow.

(Mods -- move this post if you want).

I'm wondering if it's the lack of huge (65k+) tops.

"It will be interesting to see what prevented this from being a deadly outbreak"

How do you know it's developing into a tornado? What does that mean? Funnel half-way to the ground? Rotation in the clouds? You dropped a handful of dirt and Bill Paxon caught it?

I just said what the NWS said that Trained Weather spotters were reporting a developing tornado. I cant answer your question becuase I am not qaulified to and I dont have a answer.

NWS saying Liscomb could be in the path of this doplar radar indicated tornado. (NWS saying it is doplar indicated) I hope everyone is alright and the town is spared if this is a tornado on the ground.

Anyone ever seen the NWS post this in a warning? "DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
VERY SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 18 MILES NORTHWEST OF SHATTUCK"

Very Severe? Still sitting in Shattuck and getting some really strong gust into the storm. Sitting just south of the highway 15 junction. Anyone around?

The tornado passed north of Lipscomb. Power poles/lines are strewn about for half a mile along the road. Large tree branches from somewhere. Large amounts of sheet metal all over the place from something, perhaps a barn. I am checking the area for structures. Everyone I checked on so far the house has been intact near the damage path. I have see NO vehicles in this area since before the tornado whatsoever.

It made a turn and I got caught up in "something"....measured over 100 mph of winds that started out from the east screaming in at up to 60mph and shifted around a full 360 degrees before it was all over. I may need new seat covers tomorrow.
