Just talked to John Esterheld, who reports a "skinny stovepipe" on the ground at this time...they're about 10-20 miles east of the storm.

TORNADO WATCHES EVERYWHERE!!! Except here... we've managed to position ourselves right in the gap between THREE watch boxes... storms in Colorado, Nebraska, and Oklahoma... too late in the evening to dedicate the time or effort to get on top of anything unless it goes close by. Woodward storm and storms in Colorado too far out to chase after. Cap has held tight... may call today a positioning day for tomorrow if nothing gets going nearby. Daylight running a bit low to trek 100 miles in any direction...

Amazing, huh! LOL

Angie, thanks for all the updates. Please keep them coming, including any radar info from KWTV as well. That million watt doppler they have may provide us with the best radar well get for a bit, as it seems that area where the storm is currently located is on the outer fringes of all the NWS dopplers. None of them are showing it great right now.

New tornado warning for Woodward County...KWTV chasers are getting golfball size hail. Sharon OK is in line to pick this one up in about 1/2 hour, Woodward in about 45 minutes. Appears to be cycling, got a lowering, but not much else going on.

Managed to find a spot without being in a watch lol. Think I'm glad I"m here though. Pretty nice base and updraft east of Stockton KS right now. Currently getting deeper. Another updraft south of this one on this small n-s line of towers, with the good juice feeding back this way. Wow, this thing needs to take off! Looking cool and barely on radar.

Edit: It may have a problem of crossing over this boundary, but maybe it can root better and stay on the front.

Yet another super cell in Mexico looks to be headed into TX soon. Head for Eagle Pass all!

The Arnett storm has a very impressive overshooting top on vis sat! We can probably add CO to this thread with the issueance of tor watch for northeat CO. Storms initiating from Bennett, Limon, and SE along 287.

Some small towers going up on sat in the Syracuse to Garden City area and starting to extend back into SE CO. Holding out hope that for those of you in W KS that something can get going and survive.

Incredible pics coming in from the KWTV chasers...BEAUTIFUL LP :D .
Storm approaching Woodward with teacup/baseball/tennis ball sized hail.
New SVR warning for Harper County OK heading into KS.
