• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Does anyone know if it is possible to run wxworx software on a Macbook using virtual PC or something like it? I emailed wxworx and they told me that I would need a PC with windows, but I figured someone here might know a way that it can be done.

I have WX WorX working under OSX 10.5.2 and VMWARE running XP SP2
.. I have had lots of issued w/GPS and OSX. I have also had WX Worx under bootcamp after some video drivers added.

I want to get GRL 2/3 working soon.

[edit] Running Macbook Pro in case that makes any change.

what the issues?

I also run macs. I am curious to know whether you think the issues are related to Leopard version or not.
Did these occur also using Tiger?
What specifically are the issues you are talking about?

Yeah, I have WxWork running perfectly on my Mac Book Pro with Parallels. I'm not using any GPS software on the mac, but using one of those window stick on GPS.. Works great.. My iPhone works great out their too.

You can see a radar grab from my iphone on the March 30/31 reports thread..

Thanks all for the help! Hopefully I can get it running good before my crazy semester of school ends, so I can finally start chasing again!!

Eric,

My main issues were with the GPS. My bluetooth Holux paired with my mac OSX but not the XP side. I couldn't get it to port over. Everything else works in Tiger and Leopard. I have not tried a standard USB gps.
