WINTER STORM NOW 12/15-12/16: IA/MO/WI/IL/MI/IN/OH/PA

Slight drifting here, but I'm going to guesstimate about 7 inches. Looks like a general 8-12 inch event with locally higher amounts (like the NWS called for). While the higher amounts weren't as widespread as I thought, I am quite happy with the thunder-snow and extreme (I'm speaking relatively here) snowfall rate that I observed.

I would say we could see another inch at the most... but it looks like things are definitely over.

Interesting reports from the higher elevations in the Albany, NY area. North Adams, MA (KAQW in the Berkshires) is currently reporting moderate snow and wind gusts to 55 MPH. Numerous other wind reports of 50mph are reportedly occurring in Western MA and Southern Vermont.

8 inches here as of 40 minutes ago, it has been snowing at a good clip since then so there maybe close to 9 by now. The end is near, 20 miles to my west the snow is done and the wind is turning NW, so it looks like i will end up with somewhere between 8-10 inches. I'm quite pleased with the outcome.
