Thought I would add some quick info about a Winter storm Expected from Tommorow evening into Monday Evening. A Moderate to Heavy Snow Event with 4-6 inches in my area along with a Convergence event that could accumulate an additional 1-3 inches. Already a State Wide Winter Storm Watch for Idaho and probably soon to be Elevated to Winter Storm Warning for the Higher elevations. Winds from 20-25mph can be expected with the storm and there should be plenty of drifting and blowing snow. This looks to be the most significant of Storms since Winter began. Definetely looks like a White Christmas around here. There is still some thoughts that the System may have a more Southerly track. Currently if the track stays the same the snow potential will remain. A more Northerly track and the Snow potential goes up.

I havent read much on Neighboring states. If those in the states in the title have extra info please add as a reply.

Will update Tommorow...

Very Good storm today. Pretty much had a Moderate to heavy snow event here that started from 10am-6pm. The winds didn't blow yet the snow total accumulation is 7.34 inches, 8 inches in other areas. This snow fell on 4 inches of old snow giving close to a foot of snow now. Roads are a mess with the Highways being mostly icy rather than packed with snow from Freezing rain and fog last night. Plenty of Gravel on the roads to improve the driving. So far in the 3 years that I have lived here this is the most significant snow storm to occur.

What a day... I will post some pictures later....

That storm was a dud in Twin Falls. Lots of potential with the winter storm watch, but all we got was rain (at 34 degrees) for most of the day, then about 20 minutes of post frontal snow and wind. Very disappointed and it was not a white Christmas here.

Looks like we're under the gun for another round of potential snow and wind. I see we have another winter storm watch for Thursday afternoon through Friday afternoon. With very cold air already in place, it should be cold enough for snow in all of the valleys this time.

Hey Mike, Not sure about you but thus far for my area we have close to 2 feet of snow on the ground. Huge Winter storm expected for Saturday Night into Sunday. Possible Blizzard as far as the NWS is concerned. Will be making a new thread for this if necessary.

Hope you get some good snow out of this. The latest snow has been convergence events mainly confined to the Upper Snake river plain and everyday thus far there has been at least 1-2 inches from each dumping. Local residents are saying that this hasnt happened for a long time. I am pretty excited, for once winter is showing itself, at least for my area.
