So my recent upper wind observation was of part of an upper low. Today we have another SE upper wind, and a surface low out to the SW over the Atlantic. The lower sky is showing a SW wind blowing Sc along and the upper is now starting to show signs of altocumulus,- previously we had thickening cirrus and cirrostratus. However, the warm conveyor should be rising up ahead of the warm front's passage, rather than show in air coming from the SE. So the simple frontal model is being adjusted by these winds I take. I am guessing that these clouds are warm front clouds but taking a detour into the upper anticlockwise motion and so appearing to come back round. Just wanted to check that I am thinking correctly here. Cheers.
