When I open spotter network in the update box it says update failed not connected to network GPS is Connected and does show my location but not updating?

There are a couple things usually happening here. First, be very sure you didn't accidentally get a space in somewhere in your client ID. Second, make sure that you have GPS selected and it is showing position data, not just that it is showing 'connected'. Then, be sure your Windows firewall is allowing the Spotter Network client to talk to the Internet. Finally, sometimes it takes a few seconds, or you need to click on force update to get the first location out the gate.
