• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Good day all,

NHC currently monitoring two areas with "high potential" for tropical cyclone formation...

94L - In the central Caribbean 400 NM SE of Jamaica. A USAF plane is currently checking out this area now, and a tropical depression can already be forming there.

96L - Closer to home, but close to the GA / SC coastline. The area has become better organized, and another tropical depression can be in the works there as well. This system has impressive thunderstorms developing around a weak low-level center.

94L Invest has been playing a guessing game with us since the Mid Atlantic high seas. Sporadic organisation and flaring of convection (against unfavourable conditions) the last two or three days...would suggest that this should become a Tropical Cyclone as conditions favourable for development improve over the next two days or so. Models are still very 'iffy' about it though.

Waiting for the next GFDL run. GFDL was bang on with TS Bertha the last few days...and would appear to be the 'in form' model atm.

Advisories are going to be initiated at 11 on 96L according to the latest TWO.. The low seems to be organizing rather quickly per KCLX 88D with convection beginning to wrap around the center.

GFDL is all over the place with this. Latest run downgrades it to Cat 2 (elements of).

94L has a boat load of convection but seems to be lacking a closed circulation. Latest vis...and I cannot detect any sign of this. Needs recon...badly...

If we get the LLCC...everyone needs to be looking at this in a whole new light I think.

TD 3 is upgraded to Tropical Storm Crystobal. Headed for Cape Hatteras.

I think Mark Sudduth is setting up a 10 metre wind tower & camera on Hatteras Island.

Should be interesting...

Hello mods...

I think this needs to be broken up into two threads. 96L is now Tropical Storm Crystobal and 94L is going to be Tropical Storm and then Hurricane Dolly....

Thanks.
