So who HAS NOT bagged one this year? I can raise my hand to that! Due to work and school and lack of severe weather in IL I haven't been out on any local chases and certainly haven't been able to make time to go out to the plains......how many of you came away empty handed thus far? Am I in the majority or the minority! Ahhh well maybe a late season potent storm system with spark a few (Ahem 11/2005) Other wise as Cubs fans like to say.....theres always next year

I'm with ya Dan, Tarmo. Sadly I have only been on one chase this year, 6-7/6/07... And we all know how that turned out in Nebraska.

So I am really anticipating a chase anywhere in the plains/midwest this fall.

Goodluck to those struggling to bag one this year!!

If one doesn't count night tornadoes(March 28), and just day...I'm really dang close. For day all I've seen was a 5-10 second tornado this August, and just enough of the May 22nd tornado to think maybe it was indeed in there. Lol, I just realized in the last two years and probably right around 70-75 chases, I've seen one good daylight tornado. Sigh.

I am shutout for the year after about a billion chase miles this season but only sticking to the northern plains. Next year Im making sure I get back south again. This year didnt chase anything south of NE which is pretty pathetic. Just didnt have the time this spring but I will be back next season.

None here. None in 2006. Oh, none in 2005 either.
I am CONSISTANT MAN!! (cue the music)

I did Nowcast two groups to the Greensburg, KS wedge, maybe I should stick to nowcasting!

I haven't---yet. The fall season in the deep south usually offers a couple adventures, so I am holding out for November before I throw in the towel.

yeah, i agree with dave on this one...

we havent got any this year, but weve come pretty close at times...and not even knew it...

4-25-07 and 2-24-07 were pretty crazy...on 4-25, i got within about 20 miles of the lake grenada tornado, but didnt even know there was a tornado till i saw it in the SPC reports...

similar thing happened with the 2-24 chase...sun went down, and all i could see was lightning and rain...

a tornado was reported near itta bena, but i didnt never see it...i was worried that it could have run up on us...

study the set-ups of 11-15-05 and 11-23-04...and youll see about those crazy days...

Unfortunately we have not seen one either. We were about 10 minutes away from one touching down, but we had to leave to get back to North Platte. It was in June between Arnold and Broken Bow. My husband and I both plan to do alot more chasing next year. This year neither one of us had a lot of time, so we went when we could. Hopefully we have a decent season next year.

Chased in Iowa, and the a few of the bordering states. Nothing. Some nice rotation, some wall clouds...no dice, though.

Most of Iowa's tornadoes were at odd times, or in odd situations. Not a good chasing year in the upper midwest. Yuck. First year chasing, though. Learned a ton, got my feet wet. Can't wait for 08's fun.

In 08 I plan to make my debut sometime in the southern plains. Couldn't even attempt in 07 due to being in school through half of May.

This year, mother nature sent a tornado to everywhere I could've been but wasn't (due to school, family obligations, bank runs like on 8-24-07 in SE MI, etc.) The most screwed up day was 8-23-07, when I was in Mount Pleasant, MI moving some of my stuff into my dorm room. Went home so I could watch my nephews that weekend before heading back up, and I look at the radar: Tornado warning for Mount Pleasant... only four hours after I had left.

What a bad year... and a bad state.

I'm sorry to say I'm a member of the '07 Shutout Club. My chase partner and I worked it damn hard in June...going over 5K miles and 12 states. Saw a funnel halfway to the ground in Nebraska, that was it.
But...this chaser will get off of the canvas to hit it hard again next spring. Some years are gonna be lean. Make no mistake, this is a tough, tough, game.

Nothing here. Dead as can be in southern Wisconsin. Was sick the day of the June 7 high risk fiasco, and pretty much nothing chaseable the rest of the spring and summer.

I'm 0 for 2007 as well. We have been very close on a few occasions, but that obviously means nothing. Bagged only one last year, but it was pretty distant. For the number of chases we have actually been allowed to have, it wasn't a completely disappointing season. 2008 will be much better.

I have never seen a tornado. Period. Zip, zilch, nada. I have seen a few funnel clouds, though. I remember the first 2 funnel clouds i saw. At the same time, from the same storm.:D Boy, what a day that was!!:)
