I thought this was really neat to see the circulation of a to-be tornado seem to tighten up right before our eyes and at close range and above the ground enough to see the condensate form in the foreground:
It does happen pretty fast...I'd say an astute and experienced observer of developing tornadoes could start to tell you something is up after about the 0:15 mark (condensation forms at 0:24).
Of course, the vortex was already present before the condensation formed. Condensation funnels are simply the last stage of a tornado making itself known to humans.
