Thundersnow Chances For Northern NJ/NYC?

So, the snow has begun in my area-northern New Jersey. It's a little after 1 a.m. There is talk of 12-18 inches, with blizzard conditions later in the day. What are the chances for thundersnow?

I love thundersnow-and it's been quite a while since I saw/heard it last.

There were some reports of thundersnow in Richmond, VA early this morning 4-8 AM. I didn't see it myself but did encounter episodes of very high snowfall rates and gusty winds.
