STORM DEBRIS TRANSPORT

NWS Tulsa reported that a check possibly from Lone Grove Ok tornado may have been transported 150 miles to the NE and into Broken Arrow a suburb on the SE side of Tulsa. Interesting use of a chemical leak program to run a track on this piece of paper.

We had something like that occur here.

After the Stoughton WI tornado they
found checks and paperwork in Michigan,
from Stoughton.

I suppose items could get caught in the updrafts
like hail, but without the weight to bring
them back down.

Lone Grove Tornado Debris

The model matches other reports of paper debris found in Okfuskee & Okmulgee counties.

IIRC, check were found in Sand Springs from the 5/3/99 and 5/8/03 Moore tornadoes.

Here in Sulphur , which is 30 mile NE of lone grove . I heard report's of a car hood in a ladies front yard and a I-35 off ramp sign in another. I remenber with 95 Ardmore tornado a Falconhead Golf flag being found in the shawnee area.

While I was creating a documentary that focused on the Stoughton Tornado in 2018, my friend who works at the Milwaukee airport told me that he saw cornstalks on the runway. These cornstalks had traveled from Stoughton and fallen on the runway. Absolutely astonishing!
