• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

If anyone doesnt know of this site www.jkstorm.com U can buy magnetic signs and stickers for your chase car! i have bought some and they are very good. go and take a look he has all kinds of signs.

I would submit that if your a person is so concerned about what other chasers think of their decals while they are out chasing, they might want to reevaluate their reasons for chasing in the first place.

I put it there so if anyone wants to buy any they can! figured i would be nice!

I dont see anything wrong with putting a decal on your vehicle, it at leaste lets others know who we and what were doing out there. Its no different than putting a B.A.S.S. decal or hunting decal or whatever-your-into decal on you car. You enjoy doing it. Show it.

Altho I'm not sure I agree with the individual event magnets, those seem kind of immoral if you ask me, unless sales go to a storm victim charity similar to the SO200_ DVDs.

i know it is but i think those signs are for chasers that have been there on that tornado. other then those signs he has some real good ones! and his shipping is fast. i keep intouch with him once in a while!

I've chased with Jack and he's a great chaser. He does very good work with his storm chase and spotter signs. I have some myself and have been very satisfied. The quality is good with quick response to orders. Highly recommended.

I'd be careful with those signs when chasing. When you go through those towns, there's no telling how people/survivors/relatives are going to react. Seems a little insensitive to me.

I guess we could always start painting little tornadoes and lightning bolts on our car doors for tornado and/or supercells intercepted. You know...like the bomber crews and fighter pilots did in WWII.;)

if i weren't a chaser, and i lived in a town that was destroyed by a tornado, or even worse lost a friend or family member, I would be PISSED if i saw one of those. It's like bragging. I mean, they understand what we do and how we help(to some extent) but thats just insanely insensitive.

I agree with you Mike. I would never ever buy a sign like those with the name of a town that got hit by a tornado. I also think it is very insensitive.

Ditto to what Mike and everyone else has said.

That seems rather tacky, stick with the storm chaser/skywarn magnets and leave out the magnets for the individual events. I also would be rather upset if my town got destroyed and saw someone rolling through with that on it.

It is crazy. It just gives credence to those who believe we are yahoos, especially the individual ones that have ruined or cost people their lives.

Who said you had to stick them on your car? Stick em on your computer case at home, or your bulletin board, or next to the weather map on your wall.

I think I will stick with my Skywarn decal. Somehow I think it implies just a little bit more professionalism.
