Steel Mesh for Hail Guards?

What exactly would you call the steel mesh that would be ideal for a hail guard? I'm trying to search on ebay and I can't find what I'm looking for. I want that same diamond pattern mesh like you'd see on a trailer hitch cargo rack, know what I mean?

Hey Matt - what you're looking for is expanded metal. Www.mcnichols.com is a main supplier of this material, but it's quite expensive.

You can also use hardware cloth found at Home Depot, Lowes or most other hardware stores. Its not too pricey, you could probably cover a small car for under $100.
