I was reading up on this probe, and this phenomena is extremely fascinating! Of course, the question now is if these sprites/jets/elves can pose any harm to aircraft.

I remember trying several times, in vain, to explain/describe these things to my peers. Every time I describe them I would just get a look like "Ok dude, sure, sprites... uh huh..".
