Sharpiegate is back

This only came back because someone decided to conduct an internal review of the decisions and policies that caused this to happen. I agree, though, that is of little practical significance outside of NOAA leadership. I think those who followed the story know that Neil Jacobs caved to pressure from DoC heads (likely Wilbur Ross via the president), because he was risking his job if he otherwise defied a (stupid) order from his superiors.

Same thing as in "A Few Good Men" just with significantly less human toll.

Good summary Jeff. The person(s) responsible for faking a NOAA forecast to score "political points" go unnamed with no ramifications... Those who tried to buffer the impacts get investigated.

So just as it is in every workplace around the country, dog doody rolls downhill. Same as it ever was.
