Record? 20 days with reported tornadoes.

Well I was counting them up and we have 19 days with tornado reports. I may be off by one day. I was wondering what is the longest we have had for tornado outbreaks and tornadoes one after another like this? Today there was no tornadoes reported today but tommorow looks like it could be active again. I have not seen it this active since 2004. Is 19 days with continues tornado reports a record? 2008 sure has been a record year for tornadoes and it is far from over.

New report of a EF-1 tornado yesterday in SD bringing the total count for days in a row with tornadoes to 20.

Wow, that's amazing. Can anyone find out what the record is? I'm wondering how this year ranks in whatever ways they keep records.

Looks like tornado reports yesterday and today, making it 22 days with tornadoes?

An interesting stat, but remember, these were not all confirmed. So indeed there very well could have been a day or two in between with no tornadoes.

Namely 6/9 and 6/10

6/9 - One NWS survey team was sent into the Middle Point and Delphos area of Van Wert County to investigate a possible tornado touchdown. Damage found in the area was consistent with 60 to 65 mph straight line winds and there were no signs of any tornado related damage.

So it ended there.
