• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

I have several that I took when Adam Atkins and I were sitting north of Protection (they're on facebook now, but I haven't the time to resize them to something appropiate for here)...really good pics. I took several series so I am pretty sure you can see rotation with the clouds in the different series that I have. I'll try to get them resized and put up here later.

Matt and I also stopped to shoot this scene - amazing! Here is one of Matt's shots:

Lightning was coming out of the side of the cb in clear air. I got some nice video of this. A perfect finish for a great chase day.

Awesome photos. I hope to accomplish the same this year. Its pretty cool how you can see the storm structure along with the sky and then a bolt or two of lightning in the mix. Great shots...

Such awesome pics guys, but there's 1 problem, you're making it very hard to choose a favourite picture for my desktop :D

Oh well, I'll just take to take some more time over it :D, thank you for sharing guys :)

Yea this was a magnificent storm. It had everything for all the chasers... tornadoes, lightning, hail. And perhaps the best thing is, the tornadoes were over open, mostly rural areas that produced no damage from what I saw. I saw this cell go up in the TX Panhandle early in the day and for an hour or so between I think 4 and 5pm it looked like it was ready to fall apart.. very frayed. There was other Cu/Cb immediately surrounding the cell so I was skeptic about it being able to sustain itself. It was not until around 5pm when the cell finally got its act together.

Hey Scott, that's a pretty cool video clip :), the 3rd tornado, that was forming, looked like it was gonna be a beast, but as it was forming, you could see that the circulation was a little troubled, it looked like there was more than 1 funnel, in that 3rd funnel circulation alone, but the last tornado was very nice, had a good structure to it and it had that nice slow movement to it :)

Thanks for sharing the pics (And video clip via your site) :)

not to get too "photo geeky" but what settings are you all using when you're shooting? Im assuming you're using a tripod with a longer exposure time.
