Problems Accessing and Posting

I have been a member for over 30days now given that Ive joined back before March 18th and I still have not gotten permission to post in the Nowcast and Forecast section.

I was having a similar problem, only I couldn't read OR post. Only place I could read was "site news" was unable to post anywhere. That seems to be fixed, I know they're workign to resolve the issues and once I brought my issue to their attention it was promptly taken care of

Not to beat a dead horse, but I seem to have issues yet even after receiving the email saying I was activated. In fact, I can't even access my profile without the site saying I am restricted.
I also seem to can't find new posts since last visit if there is one, I did find the Today's Posts but it gives the restricted page for me there also. I really appreciate this site, I've learned a lot of great things that have helped me already. Thanks for the site!

Per the other thread:

I noticed it was particularly bad this evening so I rebooted the server (0420 UTC). I suspected a DDOS but checked all the IP connections and it appears most likely that we had some stalled processes bottlenecking the server. I did the reboot and have turned off search temporarily to conserve CPU cycles until we've made sure things are under control (you can still search via Google... e.g. lightbars site:stormtrack.org).

If we have to get a new server to handle the load, we'll do it, but hopefully it's just something simple.

The reboot also may have reverted to some old settings, but Tim is the man to clarify that.

Hi, I joined back in February and still cannot post in the target location area. I was going to send an update about the marginal risk of severe weather in Wisconsin today but I still don't have access. Is there still a bottle neck for permissions? If so, let me know ASAP when I have permission to post in the restricted forecast/target area section. thanks.

Tim,

From what I can find, you should be able to post in the TA. I know there were some problems when Tim moved the board to a new server. There may be some settings that are causing the problems that I can't access. This is something you might need to contact Tim V. about.

Got it... that will be the next thing I'll take a look at. People who have been here over 30 days should certainly get full TA access. We're in the midst of a move right this week (a local move, fortunately) so it may be a couple of days before I can get to this.
