This time it is not me - Estonian Meteorological and Hydrological Institute is forecasting rain for afternoon hours mainly in Eastern parts of Estonia and thunderstorms are not ruled out. I expected such forecast because tomorrow's highs are expected to be up to 70 degrees. Highs on Wednesday are expected to be only up to 53 degrees.

Very bad timing for me. I will be out of home all day tomorrow(school and astronomy lecture in Tartu Old Observatory later that day). Last year I had the same curse - 1 actually even missed one powerful storm due to school. This time I am going to take my minicam (serving as webcam) with me.

At the weekend, it will be already snowing and next time with temperatures 60's is in unknown future

Estonian weather enthusiasts were yesterday awake until late hours to track the situation. According to lightning radars, there were some thunderstorms in Estonia. I didn't have any, but there were occasional showers. Following is an overview of AM band late yesterday:

However, EMHI did a great job. They forecasted a chance of thunderstorms and according to lightning radars, they were right. Latvia had some very strong radar echoes later yesterday indicating rain strength over an inch per hour.

At the moment, air temperature is 39,4 degrees.
